8st Kitchen has a menu divided into salads, pancakes, grilled meats, wok-fried dishes, "special" dishes, and noodles and rice. Much of the food is middling, but it deserves inclusion for its excellent rendition of galbi dduk bok--a spicy stew of chewy, cylindrical rice cakes and sliced short rib, with scallions to cut the richness. The sauce is completely delicious, spicy and rounded, and represents one of the only good Korean options in the immediate vicinity. Skip the braised cod at all costs, for many reasons, chief among them the fact that the fish is overcooked and sits in a watery sauce.
