Within the Dallas Marriott City Center hotel, formerly the Westin City Center, is this richly appointed restaurant. Customers and hotel guests enjoy meals seated in elegant chairs in a space enveloped by warm mahogany paneling. The dinner menu is pretty evenly split between land and sea fare. The options include a decadent Caribbean crab-coated tilapia main with a béchamel sauce as well as a simple grilled beef tenderloin platter with Burgundy-glazed onions. Among the a la carte sides are jasmine rice, mac and cheese, mushroom and fennel risotto, garlic-whipped potatoes and the steak-house compulsory jumbo asparagus. While appetizers won't elicit double takes, the blue cheese waffle fries with bacon and scallions, shrimp cocktail and grilled chicken quesadilla have a strong following.
