2826 is one of Deep Ellum's under-appreciated music venues. Probably because they don't stick with a set style or genre. On a recent visit, the bartender said that the big stage in the corner of the room regularly hosts acts from country music to hip-hop. The decor in the cavernous space is just as eclectic. Huge murals on the wall look over a light tile floor. There's plenty of room in front of the stage for dancing, and over by the bar a couple of pool tables keep patrons busy on nights when no bands or DJs are booked.
