The cupcake fad ain't over yet. At least not according to pastry chef Linda Schneider. Named after the glamorous Art Deco period, Schneider's upscale cupcakery in Scottsdale, decked out in marble and glass, features 12 different creations made each day from her family's recipes. Moist, light, and topped with an icing more sugary than creamy, the delicately sweet cherry and vanilla flavors are favorites, faring better than the breakfast and vanilla salted caramel varieties. At $3.35 each and smaller than many boutique cupcakes, these sweet indulgences are more special occasion than frequent eats, so make sure to enlist the help of the friendly counter folk to help direct you to the most popular kinds.
