I stayed away when it was the Golden Cue but I popped in there last night to find the place has really cleaned up. Excellent drink prices, 5 dollar pitchers and 2.50 pints as well as some shot specials. What really impressed me was the sound and lighting system this place has for a dive bar on the north side. DJ Kirky was playing some great music. Whether you are into; dub-step, trance, dance or house it was loud and nice. It was fairly empty at about 11pm, however I think that might change quickly once word gets out. I love the dive bar circuit and Cheers will be a place I regularly visit. I would like to return for their rock night if the prices stay the same and the music is on the same level. From what I hear DJ Kirky will be on every Wednesday night along with others. I'm hoping they prosper.
